The Nanonoko vs Jungleman GPL HU Match This Week :)

(I’ve been up for about 20 hours at this point in the day/night and have been sitting here wondering what to write about to fulfill my one piece of content/day for 7 days and then I saw this video 🙂 ) Nanonoko posted Match 1 & 2 playing against the Jungleman this week. I haven’t seen any of Jungles previous matches but my god this is great stuff.    Quick Thoughts I love Jungles constant needles about people in the GPL being bad and afraid to play against him for actual money.   I also love how tilted Jungle gets at everything and anything that doesn’t go his way. I think he even gets tilted when something does go his way because he is playing HU for no money. We talked about this on a podcast we did together and I remember him saying that he might tilt in chat but it doesn’t effect  his actual gameplay. I’m imagining Jungle playing a 8 hour online session and acting like this for the duration of it. I’m not sure how much exactly I would pay to watch him play poker and only see his reactions during the session but I’m pretty sure it is more than a couple dollars.   I think Nano has come across really well on his matches so far, he stays balanced with a mix of strat/trolling.  ...

$55 PLO MTT Final Table Video Review

Yesterday/Today/6am right now, it all is blending together at this point of the morning/night.    I decided when I woke up it would be a good idea to get some PLO MTT (YES TOURNAMENTS!!) practice in and i loaded up the $200 on Americas Card Room. I was really intrigued by PLO tournaments after playing some last year and with the WSOP coming up, I want to get a bunch of practice in them and get a bit better at playing different stack sizes/situations. PLO MTTs are still PLO but basically an entire different universe compared to PLO cash. Many of the things that make PLO cash so wonderful don’t really apply to the torturous game that is PLO MTTs. I still find myself incredibly interested in them and that probably stems from it involving my favorite game (PLO) and me not knowing how to play at a high level in a bunch of spots.   I started to go deep in the $200 event and then decided it would be smart to also enter the $540 Million Dollar NL event they have. Which then lead to me opening up some 15/30 NL and PLO cash games, which then lead to me entering some more PLO tournaments which has lead me to this point in time 15 hours later, typing this up after spending all of my time playing...

Thoughts/Takeaways: Olivier Busquet vs JC Alvarado Six Figure Fight

Some quick cliff notes for the people who haven’t heard/seen the fight that took place between Olivier Busquet and JC Alvarado this week. The fight was pretty standard MMA/UFC rules with a couple tweaks  The fight was set about 6-8 months ago and both have been training since JC bet $150,000 to Olivier $120,000 JC gave slight odds because of more experience JC also gave up 22lbs to Olivier 165 vs 187 There was $1 Million+ in side action bet on the fight total amongst the poker/degenerate community    (Here is the full fight in HD for those who...

Sean Lefort Podcast Takeaways & Timestamps

I got a bunch of really good feedback for doing this for the Dan Colman podcast a couple days ago and I think I will continue to do these for almost every episode that comes out in the near future.   I am going to start writing these recaps/takeaways/random words for each of the podcasts that I do. I know that there is a pretty good number of people out there who would like to watch certain parts of the podcasts or that don’t have the time to devote 1-2-3 hours to watching or listening on ITunes to a podcast and I want to try to make these more accessible for those people in the future. I have ideas related to putting up the best parts from each episode, putting together a 20-30 min version of each pod, timestamping all podcast episodes so that people can expect them to be there regularly and putting these write-ups out for each episode so that people can also expect to see these regularly. I might succeed at all of this and I also might fail at all of this. I end up getting lost in 10 hour poker days a bit too often and not much productivity outside of that ends up taking place 🙂   **I am still learning to be a professional writer, I will learn by the 500th thing...
